Whatever your pace, Primrose Cottage is a great starting point for numerous walks, for all abilities. We can advise you on local walks, ranging from gentle strolls to more demanding routes. We also have many walking books of the local area which you can access during the period of your stay.

Delamere Forest is an ideal place to go for a walk. There are dry sandstone paths, lots of mature trees to shade or shelter under depending on the weather and the flooded forest of Blakemere attracts birds to watch.  Log on to Northwich Community Woodlands for details of walks in the area.

For details of towpath links along the Shropshire Canal please check the British Waterways website

Further afield ... You can also trek the Sandstone Trail or Whitegate Way or stroll through local woods.

Cheshire is a great county to explore on foot. Rocky ridges and broad river
valleys form natural routes,
while the network of over 3000km of footpaths
and other public rights of way encourage you to discover quiet corners
of the countryside.

Visit 'Walking in Cheshire' for more information.
